Therapy is a space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. It’s a collaborative process where we explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Through conversation, reflection, and evidence-based techniques, we work together to uncover patterns, build coping strategies, and create meaningful change.

The therapeutic process is different for everyone—some sessions may focus on gaining insight into past experiences, while others may provide practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, or relationship challenges. Over time, therapy can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s ups and downs with more confidence and clarity.

Feeling comfortable and understood in therapy is essential. A strong therapeutic relationship helps create a safe space where you can open up and make meaningful progress. However, finding the right fit takes time, and it’s completely normal to wonder if your therapist is the best match for you.

If you don’t feel a connection, I encourage open communication—we can discuss what’s not working and explore ways to adjust our approach. My goal is for you to feel heard and supported. If you decide that a different therapist might be a better fit, that’s okay too. Therapy is about you and your needs, and I’m happy to help you find someone who aligns with your goals. The most important thing is that you get the support that feels right for you.

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a safe, supportive space. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—this is your time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll ask some questions about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We’ll also discuss how the therapeutic process works and what to expect moving forward. Most importantly, this session is about building a foundation of trust and making sure you feel heard and supported.

Therapy is a collaborative journey, and your first session is just the beginning. Whether you’re feeling nervous, curious, or unsure, know that you’re taking an important step toward growth and healing.

I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Anthem EAP, Bank of America, Blue Shield of California, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Cigna, Magellan, Oxford, Quest Behavioral Health, and United Healthcare. If your insurance is listed, your sessions may be covered in full or in part, depending on your specific plan. I can check your insurance benefits and guide you through the steps to determine your copayment or out-of-pocket costs.

If I don’t accept your insurance, I offer private pay rates ranging from $195-$205 per individual session, with higher rates for couples therapy. Sliding scale options are also available, and we can discuss a plan that works for you. If you have any questions about payment or coverage, feel free to reach out—I’d be glad to help.

The length of therapy varies for each person, depending on your goals, needs, and the challenges you’re working through. Some clients find short-term therapy (a few months) helpful for addressing specific concerns, while others benefit from longer-term support to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change.

In our sessions, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust as needed. Therapy is a personal journey, and there’s no set timeline—what matters most is finding the right pace for you. Whether you're looking for brief support or ongoing guidance, we’ll work together to create a plan that feels right for your growth and healing.
